The heritage of our proudly South African Nestle Cremora Tart
Food is one of the best ways that South Africans express and celebrate its many diverse cultures. As South Africa’s best loved and oldest creamer, NESTLÉ CREMORA has been a part of Mzantsi heritage for years!
We started out as a spoonful of deliciousness that added a taste of cheeky indulgence to your coffee, but soon after our iconic “It’s not inside, it’s on top” ad was flighted on TV for the first time in the 1980s, we found NESTLÉ CREMORA lovers going beyond coffee to add that something special to their dishes too.
And so, a new fridge tart was born, the NESTLÉ CREMORA Tart! The versatility of NESTLÉ CREMORA is what made it so easy to create what we believe is one of the smoothest and tastiest fridge tarts around. It’s a sweet and zesty combination of a creamy NESTLÉ CREMORA and condensed milk filling with a dash of lemon juice scooped onto a rich biscuit base.
It has since been passed down in just about every South African family's home, from one generation to the next and is now engrained in our rainbow nation as a trusted recipe, along with the joyful memories and stories told around the table that will always be cherished.
We should, and must, share our South African heritage – with our friends, our children and any who cares to listen. The significance of Heritage month calls on us to celebrate our cultures, diversity and traditions. So, in honour of this, why not explore the delicious possibilities behind one of SA's most diverse creamers with our NESTLÉ CREMORA Tarts 3-ways recipe?
